Submitting Your Files
To ensure the highest quality print job, it is important that you adhere to the acceptable file formats and guidelines. Improperly produced files may be rejected, causing a delay in receiving your product. If you are unsure about preparing your files please feel free to email or call us for assistance.
SETTING UP YOUR FILES: VERY IMPORTANT!
All files must include a 1/8" (.125") bleed (or border) for cutting purposes. Add .25" to the dimensions of your design layout. In other words, if the final size of your flyer is 4.25" x 5.5", your design layout should be 4.5" x 5.75".
Additionally, you should keep all vital or "live" text a 1/8" inside the trim lines.
We highly recommend using one of our templates to avoid having trouble with your files. Templates for our more popular sizes are available in the Members Only area.
Preparing Your Files for Upload
While we review each file, we are not responsible for proofing your work. By submitting an image file to us you certify that it is "ready for print" and will not require any additional changes.
You should prepare two files for the front and back. When naming your files for submission please be sure that the file names are no longer than 10 letters/numbers and do not contain any spaces or special characters.
Acceptable File Formats: JPEG - must be 300 dpi resolution and CMYK color format. TIFF - must be 300 dpi resolution and CMYK color format. EPS - must convert all text to outlines. PSD - file must be flattened with no layers, 300 dpi resolution and CMYK color. PDF - contact us for a copy of our output settings.
If you do not see a particular file format listed above that you would prefer to use, please feel free to
Email us and check to see if we can accept your file format.
Uploading Your Files
After placing a printing order, make a note of your Order Number, then select "Upload My Files" from the "My Account" box to the left (You must be logged in to see it). On that page you will be able to upload as many as five files simultaneously. If you have difficulty uploading your files on the first attempt, you can return to this page to upload them
again. DO NOT PLACE A DUPLICATE ORDER.
Color Proofs
If your job is color critical you must request a color proof from the options list on the product page. The proof can be mailed to you or you can set an appointment to view it at our facility. Please be aware that proof requests will delay your print order. We will not proceed until the proof is confirmed.
If you have questions or our experiencing problems, please contact: info@indieprintusa.com or call 248-545-6612. Be sure to reference your order number in the subject line of the email. Do not submit files without first placing an order. Files submitted without an order may be subject to delays or cancellations.
